WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY – 10 OCTOBER 2023

You are not alone. There are many of us who are in the same situation. Let’s support one another by just being in the moment with another. Just listening and being there saying nothing and not trying to fix anything. All we need is for someone to care enough to just be there.

I understand how it feels. There are days, weeks, months when I too feel like this.

I am Bipolar and have Major Depression. It’s been hard to accept the diagnosis as there is such a stigma with Bipolar.

So I am “coming out of the closet” and admitting my diagnosis. Admitting that my behaviour can be erratic. Admitting that there was a time when I thought everything had been taken away from me. I had nothing and no one. All I had was abuse. When I thought what was the purpose of living. I saw no way through it. I was going to end it all. Fortunately a little voice inside of me said Stop! You are stronger than you think. You still have work to do in this life. I reached out to get help.

So this blog is about my journey. What keeps me going and what I hope you need

Stay strong. We have a purpose in this life. You may not know it yet however the day will come when someone needs you.

Look after yourself and take care.

Big hugs to everyone.

Light and love!

You are worth it!
